TECHNICAL TOOL / 03
Surface condensation risk check
Compare a measured surface temperature with the air dew point. Add instrument uncertainty and a project-defined temperature margin to produce a conservative screening result.

METHOD AND BOUNDARY
Conservative uncertainty check
The conservative case raises air temperature and RH by their entered uncertainty and lowers surface temperature by its uncertainty. The resulting margin is compared with the project value entered above.
Instantaneous screening, not a transient model
The calculation represents the entered moment. It does not predict future weather, door opening, infiltration, thermal bridges, night cooling, start-up cycles, material heat capacity, or hidden local cold spots.

PROJECT REVIEW
A calculator defines a condition. Equipment selection needs the full operating context.
For a project review, include the enclosure or room, temperature and humidity range, target, moisture source, airflow, power, drainage, controls, quantity, and operating cycle.
